Dear Members and Friends of AustCham Macau
I am writing this 3rd article for our “AustCham Macau At a Glance” on Australia Day, and I would like to say “Happy Australia Day” to you all.
AustCham Macau held its 3rd Australia Day BBQ event celebration on Saturday (23 January) with 130 members and friends attending the event. At the same time we celebrated 2nd Anniversary of AustCham Macau. I am sure we all had a wonderful afternoon under the nice weather, with great Aussie food prepared by the team at Galaxy Macau with fine Australian ingredients, and paired with Aussie wine / beers that were kindly sponsored by a long list of suppliers. Special thanks to our event sponsor Sino Phil Asia International Peace Awards Foundation for their support. You can find out more about the event here.
Our special guest, Ms Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office, mentioned how lucky we are under the current COVID-19 pandemic that we were able to gather in a place for the celebration. I believe these great achievements were a combined efforts of Macau Government and all the individuals in Macau. Although we are far away from recovery, being able to do this when compared with neighbouring cities and the world is unbelievable.
Our Power Hour event will be back again in February and we have invited Samuel Power, the CEO of “It’s Pure Production Limited” to share with us his Aquaponics Micro Farm business in Macau.
We continue to enhance the content of our newsletter and please share your opinion and ideas with us. Also, if there is any topic that you would like to hear about at our Power Hour event, please let us know and we will try to invite the correct person for the topic.
Lastly, we need your support on the operations of AustCham Macau so please join us or renew your membership today.
As Lunar New Year is approaching (12 February), I wish you all “Good Health and Good Luck” in the Year of the Ox.
