Dear Members and Friends of AustCham Macau
This is the seventh article for “AustCham Macau At a Glance” that I have written so far and I hope our readers find them interesting and with lots of useful information. Again, there have been some great news on the increasing daily number of visitors crossing the border, especially during the weekends. I hope that there will be more in the upcoming summer holidays as the number of people taking the vaccines rises too.
On 26 May, we hosted the 11th Power Hour with Ms Linda Chan (Division Head of Industry and Commerce Support Division of Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT)) as our speaker. She provided us with important information on the subsidies and incentives available for Macau businesses. Considering the special measures announced during this pandemic and the rollout of the “Digital Payment Consumption Incentives” program for Macau residents starting on 1 June, I would definitely say that the Macau SAR Government has been doing everything they can to maintain confidence in the local economy and ensure business transactions remain active in order to support employment conditions in Macau. You can find out more about the event from our website or the DSEDT website.
Summer holidays will start soon (for kids only I guess) and AustCham Macau is planning an event for our members, friends and their families where they will be able to enjoy a hot and sunny afternoon with great food, drinks and entertainment. More details will be announced soon on our website and Facebook page.
AustCham Macau is hiring a part-time Admin Manager to cope with our expanding operations and to provide better services to our members. The position is equivalent to around one day per week at this stage, but there is certainly scope for growth. Applications for this position close on Monday 7 June. For more information, please visit this link.
I would also like to announce that Jacinta Wu, a Macanese Australian trained registered physiotherapist will be our speaker for the 12th Power Hour on 23 June 2021 at 6:30pm at St Regis Macau.
Please join me to celebrate and welcome the following new members to AustCham Macau:
