Elsa Carreiro Keen started her career by joining the pre-opening team for Sands in 2004 and established herself in HR. It was there she met many Australian expats which helped shape her career including her Aussie accent.
Born and raised in Macau, Elsa is considered a true Macanese. She started studying at the Escola Portuguesa de Macau and was blessed with multiple languages at home. Elsa has a passion for good food and travel, specially to see family back in Portugal.
Completing a Bachelor of Arts Portuguese & Chinese Translation at the Macau Polytechnic Institute, she found her way into HR from the bottom as a clerk with the pre-opening team of the Sands Casino. It was an area that allowed Elsa to meet numerous people during the onboarding process while continuing her studies at night.
After stints with SJM & Melco, Elsa soon found a calling back home with Sands China but this time under a different department in table games. She is currently the Executive Director of Communication & Labour Relations in table games for Sands China and loves working with the various dynamics of the industry.
