From the Chair (JUNE 2022)

Dear Members and Friends,

As we start our June month it is hard to think that the year is already half way over. It is wonderful to hear of travel plans for some of our members and if you are travelling, please stay safe and we look forward to your return.

Summer is upon us for those staying in Macao so time to enjoy some healthy rays of sunshine at one of the great hotels in Macao.

We hosted some great events in May. Thanks to all the attendees who came to the BCM event – our Power Hour Lunch. The first AustCham Wine Dinner “The Best of Australia – Australian Wine and Food Legends” was a fantastic experience and enjoyed by all. My best recollection from the evening from Mr Eddie McDougall who shared his knowledge on wine was that there are over 60 separate wine regions in Australia. It made me think about my next trip home and to make sure I included some of the regions in my itinerary.

With the Australian Election now over, we will start to pull together some interesting events to share with you as the new Government starts to action its policies so stay tuned.

Moving into June, we start the month with The State of Origin showing at the Cathedral Café. I look forward to seeing you there. Our next Power Hour Speaker is Mr Paul Chong from Panmeta Corporation who will talk about Weechat insights and simple strategies for your business.

I hope to see you at one of our future events. The Board will continue to drive interesting events for you to learn and network. All suggestions are welcome so please do not hesitate to contact us.

In the meantime, take care and see you soon.

Warm regards,

Janet McNab
